Privacy Policy

BlackJack AU (orangehearingcentre.com) publishes pages; it does not run accounts, take payments or keep forms that store anything. What follows describes the small amount of data created when a page is opened or a casino link is clicked, and the route to asking about it.

1. Who runs this site

The operator behind the site is BlackJack AU, shortened to “the site” for the rest of this page. Questions about the policy can go to [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject line, or through the contact page. The site publishes for readers in Australia and handles personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as far as they reach, and with the privacy law of wherever else a reader happens to be.

2. What the server records on its own

Every page request leaves a line in the web server's access log: the IP address, the date and time, the page asked for, the page the reader came from, the browser and the operating system. Those logs exist to keep the site running, to spot abuse and to count traffic. They are never combined with anything else in order to work out who a reader is, and they are cleared on a rolling basis after no more than 90 days.

3. Cookies, and the one thing kept in your browser

The site places no cookies of its own. It does write to the browser's session storage for exactly one purpose: to remember that the mobile “Play” bar has been dismissed, so that it does not reappear during that visit. Session storage is wiped the moment the tab closes and never leaves the device.

Should analytics ever be switched on, it will be a privacy-focused service that counts page views without cookies and without keeping IP addresses, and this section will be amended to name it. Fonts are pulled from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request for the font file along with the reader's IP address, under Google's own privacy policy.

4. What happens when you click a casino link

Casino links on the site are affiliate links. Clicking one routes through the site's redirect page, which notes which casino was chosen and attaches a click identifier, so that the operator can credit any resulting sign-up to this site and pay a commission. That redirect stores no name, no email address and no account details, and the site never learns what a reader does once they have left. The instant the casino's own page loads, its privacy policy takes charge, and it is the casino — not this site — that collects identity papers and payment details.

5. What readers send us

Email arriving at the contact address is kept only as long as it takes to answer and to hold a record of corrections made to the site, and is deleted within 24 months. Screenshots of casino lobbies sent in with a correction are used to check the facts and are never published. There is no newsletter, and no marketing email is sent.

6. Who else sees it

Personal information is not sold, rented or traded. The only recipients are the hosting provider that stores the server logs, bound by its own confidentiality obligations, and any party a law, court order or regulator compels disclosure to. Casinos receive a click identifier through the affiliate link described in section 4, and nothing further.

7. How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security in place, and the server returns the usual security headers. Only the people who run the site can reach the server and the contact inbox. No internet transmission is ever completely safe, and the site cannot guarantee the security of information while it is in transit.

8. What you can ask us to do

A reader may ask what personal information the site holds about them, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and complain about the way it has been handled. Such requests go to [email protected] and are answered within 30 days. Because the site keeps next to nothing, most requests end with confirmation that no record is held beyond a server log line that cannot be tied to a person. Australian readers who are unhappy with the answer can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

9. Age limits

The site is written for adults of 18 and over and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone younger. An email that arrives from someone under 18 is deleted as soon as it is seen.

10. Other sites

This policy reaches only as far as orangehearingcentre.com. Casinos, payment providers, support services and every other site linked from these pages answer to their own policies, and this site is not responsible for what they publish or how they operate.

11. When this policy changes

The current version is the one carrying the date at the top of the page, and any change replaces the whole text. Changes that matter — adding analytics, starting a newsletter — are flagged in the opening paragraph of the new version for at least 30 days.
